Independence Day, Romance, & 4th of July

Happy birthday, America. We are such a beacon of hope, freedom, and liberties of all kinds. I am thankful for this. There really are few things quite like listening to, or hearing live in person, "Overture of 1812," complete with live cannon fire, on the 4th of July. It's been one of my & our family's traditions for years. I've seen it live in Boston and DC numerous times, but...it's been a while. I think I shall venture to Boston next year for Independence Day. Who wants to join me?

And for you romantics like me (Yes, I am!!), here's a link to a terrific romantic & patriotic song by the son of Waylon Jennings, Mr. Shooter Jennings, called "4th of July." I love this song and Shooter's unique sound. I hope you enjoy it. And, in case you're wondering, yes, there IS someone I'd like to share this song (and its story) with. Hope you see this!
